The older I get the more I understand how important it is to always keep learning. I don’t think none of us want to be called a benighted person, but can the lack of persistence at obtaining knowledge make us so? The best educated people are often those who are committed to a lifetime of educating themselves. Some of you might not agree with me when I say this, but I honestly believe that it takes more than a college degree to be considered a person of education. Obtaining knowledge is easy, but knowing how to apply it without violating the right of others is a different matter. A person of education is a person who has learned how to accomplish what he or she wants in life without beguiling others. We open the door to be more educated when we have an open mind and are willing to discover, learn and try new things.
